MARICOPA, AZ - A toddler suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday after he was attacked by two dogs inside a Maricopa home.
Police say the child and his older brother were being cared for by a family friend, who had locked the two dogs in a bedroom.
When the babysitter opened the door to retrieve something, the dogs ran out and immediately attacked the younger boy in the living room. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Valley hospital.
The dogs were turned over to Pinal County Animal Control for quarantine.
The child's current condition has not been released.
