MARICOPA, AZ - One man is dead and two others were seriously hurt in a rollover crash that wound up in a Maricopa canal Sunday night.
Maricopa Fire Department spokesman Brad Pitassi says when crews arrived on the scene they found a sedan in a canal and all three victims had been thrown from the car about 10 to 20 feet.
He says one of the men was pronounced dead, while the other two were flown by medical helicopter to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Pitassi says they weren't wearing seatbelts.
Names weren't released. Two were described in their 20s and a third in his late 30s to early 40s.
The Pinal County Sheriffs Office is investigating.
