Pinal County residents say they support Sheriff Paul Babeu, even after an ex-lover brought up allegations against him.
Residents in Florence say they've known for a while that the Sheriff was gay and that hasn't changed their opinion about him and the job he has done as Sheriff.
“I have a lot of respect for Paul and the job he has done. He is a honest and hardworking man,” said Julia Vail.
Residents say when it comes to the allegations, they want to see proof.
Until then, they will give Sheriff Babeu the benefit of the doubt.
