FLORENCE, AZ - An RV fire in Florence Thursday morning left one elderly man dead and his wife severely burned.
According to officials, Florence and Rural Metro firefighters responded to the fire at Caliente del Sol senior RV park around 7:30 a.m. and found the RV completely engulfed in flames.
A neighbor helped Elsie Trunkenbolz escape her home, but her husband, Al Trunkenbolz, was killed in the fire.
Officials said the woman suffered severe burns and was taken to Arizona Burn Center at Maricopa Medical Center.
Fire crews were able to keep the flames from spreading to nearby RVs.
Authorities are investigating the fire.
