FLORENCE, AZ - Officials have arrested Joshua Angell, 31, for allegedly abusing his 4-year-old daughter while high on marijuana.
According to a report from Pinal County, the incident occurred on April 20 while Angell was celebrating the "holiday" by smoking marijuana.
After his daughter soiled herself, Angell allegedly picked her up by the throat to change her when her face struck a door causing injury to her cheek and eye area.
Her mother noticed the suspicious injuries and took her to the Mountain Vista Hospital where it was determined that the injuries appeared to be intentional.
The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Taskforce acted on a bench warrant by taking Angell into custody around noon on Thursday, according to the report.
Angell was booked into Maricopa County Jail but will be extradited to Pinal County at the end of the month.
