CASA GRANDE - A serious collision closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Casa Grande Monday night.
Department of Public Safety officials said the one-vehicle collision on I-10 near McCartney Road left multiple people injured. The extent of injuries is unclear at this time.
Air15 video over the scene showed a gold extended cab pickup truck in the dirt area alongside the roadway. Debris apparently thrown from the truck could be seen scattered near the damaged vehicle.
It is unclear at this time what caused the truck to crash.
Arizona Department of Transportation confirmed a medical transport forced the closure of westbound lanes just before 7 p.m. ADOT tweeted all lanes were re-open around 7:50 p.m.
Footage from the area showed westbound traffic backed up for several miles as crews worked to clear the accident scene.
