CASA GRANDE, AZ - An Arizona exterminator has a good citizen to thank after she returned his missing cash box.

Scott Bailey lost his company cash box after he left it on his truck and drove away Saturday. The box held valuable company items, such as checks, cash and client information.

“[I was] pretty panicked,” Bailey said.

Making matters worse, Bailey told ABC15 he had no idea where the box had fallen off or who had found it.

Lucky for Bailey, Margarita Laney, who lived nearby, found the box in the middle of the road as she walked down the street.

“I said, ‘this is very important,” she said of her reaction after finding the items.

Laney and her daughter then tracked down Bailey’s phone number and ensure they give it directly back to him.

“Just make sure we get it to him…not the boss,” she said. “I’ve been there. ”

Laney did return the box and Bailey said he is extremely thankful.

“It just tells me that there are really so many good people here,” Bailey said.

Bailey, who has worked with his company for about a year, said he will make sure he never loses the cash box again.
