Valentine’s gifts you shouldn’t give

Tuesday is Valentine's Day and some of you might be stressing over what to get your sweetheart.        

Match.com is out with an article that tells you what not to get and some of the items might surprise you.          

For the ladies:

Red roses. They’re too predictable and cliché.

A box of assorted chocolates. Chances are you'll like a couple and toss the rest.          

Jewelry in a ring-sized box. If it's not an engagement ring there's going to be a disappointed lady. Or she's going to freak out, in bad way, because she thinks it is and she' s not ready.           

For the men:   

Ladies, don't buy a tie. That is boring.         

Cologne is too personal and what, you want them to smell like someone else? That could send the wrong message.        

Guys and gals should both skip gift cards. That shows a complete lack of effort.
