You're looking at a giant tornado whirling across the surface of the sun...that might be as big as Earth itself.
This amazing video was captured by the Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite.
SDO is a Sun-watching satellite that has transmitted a series of stunning photos like this of solar flares in recent months.
According to NASA, this kind of video would have never been possible without SDO up in space which has now been working for two years.
This mesmerizing video got us thinking, how this phenomenon possible?
And, what other fascinating wonders of the solar system are out there?
