Did a Missouri high school principal go too far when she created a fake Facebook page to keep tabs on what her students were posting online?

Dr. Louise Losos just resigned from her job Clayton High School in suburban St. Louis, according to a recent report .

The official reason given was a "fundamental dispute concerning the appropriate use of social media."

Losos created the Facebook page using the name "Suzy Hairston."

She then "friended" more than 100 students at her school.

The trouble started when one of those students figured it out.

Not everybody is happy to see Losos go.

What do you think?

Did this principal go too far?

Or was her goal of keeping an eye on what kids were doing online commendable?
