Get ready for a possible fat tax in the UK.
The country's Court of Appeals has ruled passengers cannot sue for embarrassment caused onboard a plane.
This stems from a lawsuit filed by two overweight passengers who were moved from their original seats.
Experts say this clears the way for charging overweight passengers what's essentially a fat tax.
We know the idea doesn't go over well here in the US.
Back in 2009, American Airlines faced a PR nightmare when it forced passengers who were too fat to fit in one economy seat to buy another.
Southwest Airlines also got some flack for announcing it's subsidiary AirTran will start requiring overweight passengers to buy another seat if they can't fit into one with the armrest lowered.
That starts next month.
What do you think about the British court's ruling?
Is it fair to charge someone more if their girth takes up more than one seat?
