The public divorce between actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has sparked a debate on how big of a role Scientology played in the split.
A close source claims that Holmes filed for divorce to keep her 6-year-old daughter Suri away from the practices of Scientology, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Cruise is well-known for his involvement with Scientology.
So when it comes to marriage, how important is it to agree on religion beforehand?
