Just a few days ago, we told you about the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas living up to its name when a customer actually had one in the restaurant.
Well, now a Washington, DC-based anti-meat advocacy group is calling for the owner to declare "moral bankruptcy," and shut it down.
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine says the incident should be a wake-up call, and bypass operations aren't funny.
The victim in this case, a man in his 40's, was eating the 6,000-calorie triple-bypass burger when he went into cardiac arrest.
In case you're wondering, that's three half-pound hamburger patties with buns dipped in lard, along with 15 slices of bacon and cheese and special sauce.
The owner of the Las Vegas Heart Attack Grill says he is not going to close up shop, and points out people have had heart attacks at other restaurants without making national news.
What are your thoughts on this?
Do you agree with the advocacy group that the Heart Attack Grill is being socially irresponsible by serving up such unhealthy meals?
Or, does this all fall back on us as individuals?
