Starting Sunday, all vehicles in France are required to be equipped with an electronic breathalyzer.

More than 10,000 people a year are killed in drunk driving crashes in the United States.

In France that number is far lower, but it's gotten large enough that the government there has taken action.

Those who fail to do so risk the equivalent of a $14 fine each time they are pulled over.

Reaction in France has been mixed.

Supporters say the move could help save lives by keeping drunk drivers off the road.

What do you think about the idea?

Would you be willing to use a breathalyzer before starting your car if it meant drunk drivers had to do the same?
