When you head to the beach, your gear usually includes a football or a Frisbee.

But this summer, you'll need to leave those items at home if you visit any beach in Los Angeles County.

The Board of Supervisors has agreed on a $1,000 fine for those who break the rules.

The idea here is to prevent any activity that could disrupt or injure beach-goers.

The only sports gear allowed on the sand now: volleyballs and beachballs.

On top that restriction, the ordinance prohibits anyone from digging a hole in the sand deeper than 18 inches.

So, watch your kids!

How do you feel about these new rules?

Do you agree with them?

Or, are they simply out of bounds?
