A Little League ballplayer is facing a big lawsuit after a woman was hit with a baseball in New Jersey, according to an article on Yahoo.com this week.
Matthew Migliaccio, 13, plays baseball in Manchester Township, New Jersey.
He hit a woman in the head with a baseball while warming up for a game two years ago.
Now that woman is suing Matthew for more than $150,000 for her medical bills and an unknown amount of cash for pain and suffering.
She said Matthew threw the ball on purpose.
Matthew's dad says it was an accident. "He said, 'We weren't screwing around, Dad. The ball slipped out of my hand when I threw it back and it went over his head.' Like to him, this happens everyday in Little League."
Matthew said he immediately went over to the woman and apologized, and that she said she knew he didn't do it on purpose.
