A 4-year-old boy who was hospitalized after he helped save a 3-year-old girl in a Texas pool is being taken off life support, according to a Friday report.
NBCNews.com said Xander Vento was at a neighborhood pool in Forth Worth when he helped the struggling girl by holding her above the water.
Vento reportedly became exhausted and went below the surface.
He was discovered at the bottom of the pool, pulled from the water, and taken to an area hospital where he has been on life support since Monday, according to the article.
The girl reportedly swallowed water, but did not lose consciousness.
