A 22-year-old video of a toddler playing with a 300 pound gorilla has sparked quite a debate in the parenting community.
The video, just released for the first time by the little girl's family, has some parents horrified, questioning whether the toddler is safe.
The YouTube clip shows 18-month-old Tansy Aspinall enjoying play time with the gorilla, even letting the animal give her a kiss on the cheek. The girl has a huge smile on her face as she pets and plays with her new friend.
Tansy's father Damian said he released the video so people can see how "gentle and noble" the animals are.
He heads a foundation dedicated to sending gorillas back into the wild. Tansy, now 23, said she supports her father 100 percent.
