The owner of a pet store in Allen Park, Michigan is hoping to catch the man and child who allegedly stole a kitten just before closing Monday night.
On surveillance video, the child is seen stuffing the 8-week-old black kitten under a red t-shirt while the man appears to be looking out to make sure pet store workers don't catch them in the act.

The child, who has brown shoulder length hair, appears to be about 12 years old but it's unclear if it is a boy or a girl.
As soon as the kitten is completely covered, the two rush out of the store and into a car that was parked just outside.
The two may have been with a woman who was also in the store and appeared to be distracting the cashier as the man and child walked by with the hidden kitten.
Anyone with any information on the stolen kitten is urged to contact Allen Park Police.
