ABCNews reports the unidentified man, accused of taking two DVD players, exited the Lithonia Walmart around 1:30 a.m. Sunday and was confronted in the parking lot.

Officers responded to the scene and reportedly found employees on top of the man.

One officer was about to handcuff the man when he noticed there was no resistance and the suspect was bleeding from the nose and mouth, according to the article.

The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Walmart said the store employees have been suspended during the investigation and the security guard involved will no longer provide service to Walmart.
