PIERMONT, N.Y. - Authorities have resumed searching for the planned best man in a wedding who plunged into the water after a speedboat crash on New York's Hudson River.
Chief William Barbera of the Rockland County Sheriff's Office said Sunday that about a dozen boats would help search for 30-year-old Mark Lennon.
Lennon and 30-year-old bride-to-be Lindsey Stewart fell into the water after their boat crashed into a construction barge Friday night. Four other people on the boat, including the groom-to-be, were hurt.
The body of a woman matching Stewart's description was pulled from the water Saturday.
The boat driver, Jojo John, was charged with vehicular manslaughter. Authorities believe he was operating the boat while intoxicated.
Stewart's wedding was planned for Aug. 10.
Attempts to reach John's family haven't been successful.
