A pilot has come under fire for posting videos on YouTube that show what he says are serious flaws in airport security.

The unidentified pilot reportedly took his cell phone into a San Francisco airport and recorded video explaining the flaws.

The videos apparently show how the people that service the aircraft at the airport can simply swipe a card to come and go as they please. “So when you see a cart, those carts aren’t screened at all,” he says in the video.

ABC affiliate KXTV/News10 in Sacramento says the pilot was deputized by the TSA to carry a gun in the cockpit.

Days after posting the videos to YouTube in November, federal air marshals and sheriff's deputies went to his house to confiscate his federally-issued firearm, according to News10. The pilot also recorded that event.

A deputy sheriff reportedly asked him to surrender his state-issued permit to carry a concealed weapon and a follow-up letter from the sheriff's department said the permit would be reevaluated following the outcome of the federal investigation.

The reason for the discipline? The pilot’s videos might have violated TSA regulations.
