Ohio University student Terrence Ambro found dead in dorm room

ATHENS, OH - An Ohio University student was found dead in his dorm room over the weekend.

According to WOUB-TV in Athens , Interim Dean of Students Jenny Hall-Jones said in a news release that freshman Terrence Ambro died in Washington Hall Sunday in his dorm room.

Hall-Jones said there is no danger to the community and the student's death is under investigation.

WOUB reported that police responded to the call and the Athens County Coroner's Office confirmed the death.

Ambro was a history major in the College of Arts and Sciences. His Facebook page lists his hometown as Wading River, New York.

The university said counselors are being made available to provide support for students.
