Nancy Hamilton, wife of former US Rep. Lee Hamilton, dies after being hit by own car

The wife of a former U.S. Representative died after being run over by her own car in Indiana over the weekend, according to a Monday report.

NBCNews.com said 82-year-old Nancy Hamilton, wife of former U.S. Representative Lee Hamilton, brought a pet to a veterinary clinic Saturday afternoon.

She reportedly walked behind the vehicle to get the pet out from the passenger side, but the car was not in park and ran over her.

Hamilton was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries, according to the report. Read more.
