The mother of Columbine shooter Dylan Klebold said she prayed her son would kill himself on the day of the massacre, according to a Thursday report.

Yahoo.com said Sue Klebold confessed that when she discovered her son was one of the shooters at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado on April 20, 1999 she prayed he would die before he hurt anyone else.

Klebold’s parents have remained mostly silent since the shooting 13 years ago.

Klebold and his friend, Eric Harris, killed 12 students and one teacher before killing themselves.

The article said Sue Klebold’s confession comes as part of “Far from the Tree,” a new book by Andrew Solomon.

The book discusses atypical children and a part of it focuses on children who commit crimes. Read more on Yahoo.com.
