GREENVILLE, SC - A South Carolina woman whose son was killed by a drunk driver last year is being billed for numerous expenses associated with the accident, including the cost of cleaning her son’s blood off the road, WYFF reports.

Loretta Robinson came face-to-face with the woman who pleaded guilty to fatally hitting her son in court last Tuesday.

Anna Gonzalez, an undocumented immigrant who never got a South Carolina Driver’s license, was sentenced to 17 years.

But the grieving mother told the judge that since tragic accident, she has been stuck with multiple bills, including cleanup for her son’s blood on the road, towing of the wrecked car and storage of the wrecked in case there was a trial.

While the South Carolina State Office of Victims Assistance offers up to $15,000 for expenses for families of the victims of crimes, the program didn’t cover all the costs.
