HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI - L'Anse Creuse High School in Detroit has been evacuated.
Officials say the school was evacuated after a staff member said they spotted a man nearby dressed in camouflage and possibly armed. The man was seen entering and leaving the school at around 6:00 am.
Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says the man was met by security and escorted out. He is in custody.
The man is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and wearing camo and a black vest. Officials say he is a former student.
Both the Macomb County Sheriff's Department and Michigan State Police are on the scene. WXYZ is being told that the situation is secure and the school is being searched.
The Macomb County Sheriff says parents and students are being turned away at this time.
