SAN DIEGO - Video shot on a San Diego-bound flight that shows passengers jumping up and down mid-flight to the dance craze "Harlem Shake" has gone viral. An aviation expert tells ABC San Diego this move put the entire plane in jeopardy.

At first, the video looks innocent enough and shows a young man wearing a mask dancing in the aisle of a plane. Seconds later, it looks like nearly everyone on the Frontier flight from Denver to San Diego unfastened their seat belts and jumped in on the latest dance craze to sweep the world.

The only problem was the plane was tens of thousands of feet in the air.

Aviation expert Glen Winn told ABC San Diego, "It's evident to me that one, the crew lost control in the cabin… I'm just amazed the crew let this happen."

A Frontier Airlines spokeswoman said, "All safety measures were followed and the seat belt sign was off."

Winn said there were several serious safety concerns for those on the plane, including loss of pressurization.

"You have a weight and balance issue because that many people moving around in an aircraft, you could have the plane potentially losing control and its very, very dangerous," he said.

Most of those behind the mid-air stunt are members of Colorado College's Frisbee team and somehow they managed to convince fellow passengers of all ages to get up and pump their fists to the "Harlem Shake."

Winn said the pilot is ultimately responsible for control and safety of his airplane but the FAA and possibly the NTSB will decide whether to take any action.
