WASHINGTON, DC - The Justice Department says a U.S. drug agent arranged to hire a prostitute for one of the Secret Service agents involved in a Colombian prostitution scandal last year.

In a summary of its investigation dated Dec. 20, the department's inspector general says a Drug Enforcement Administration agent stationed in the seaside resort of Cartagena arranged for a prostitute to give a Secret Service agent a massage.

The report says the pair later had a sexual encounter and the DEA agent arranged payment for the woman.

The report says three DEA agents erased data from their government-issued Blackberry cellphones amid the investigation.

Thirteen Secret Service employees were entangled in the scandal over prostitution before a regional summit attended by President Barack Obama.
