'Caring is Sexy Charity Cut-A-Thon': Valley salons offer $10 haircuts for breast cancer awareness

PHOENIX - Hundreds of hair salons across the country, including locations in the Valley, are offering $10 haircuts Wednesday for a good cause.

Hair care company Sexy Hair is working with the salons in support of breast cancer awareness. They're calling it the "Caring is Sexy Charity Cut-A-Thon."

In favor  you get a haircut. The funds from this event will go to “Look Good Feel Better.”

The self-help beauty charity is dedicated to improving the self-image of cancer patients, according to a news release.

There are four Valley locations participating on Wednesday, Oct. 10:

--Glendale: Hot Cutz at 6520 W. Happy Valley Road, Suite 107 (until 3 p.m.)

--Phoenix: Unique Roots at 3817 W. Flynn Lane

Salon De Lux in Glendale said they were initially on the list but are not participating.

There are 875 salons participating across the U.S.
