COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections has completed the Ariel Castro death review, resulting in two officers being placed on administrative leave.
According to the 11-page document, two corrections officers at the Ohio Corrections Reception Center did not timely perform all rounds as required by Post Orders and falsified the post log book for their rounds.
Both employees are on administrative leave, and all relevant facts were reported to the Ohio State Highway Patrol by CRC for a criminal investigation.
It was also discovered that Castro’s orientation was incomplete in that he was not shown the required suicide video.
The criminal investigation is pending at this time.
