Welcome 'Hashtag!' Parents name girl after Twitter symbol

There's nothing new about crazy baby names, celebrities have created their fair share of explanation-defying names for their kids.

But "Hashtag?"

Hashtag Jameson was born last weekend and her proud parents posted the announcement on Facebook the next day, according to Yahoo! Shine.

Some have questioned whether the announcement is a marketing ploy for a brand of whiskey #Jameson while others have weighed in with hashtag comments of their own along the lines of #Foolishparents, #YourParentsHateYou, and #StupidestNameEver.

According to Yahoo! Shine, parents have always named their children after things that are important to them, including beloved relatives, "The Hunger Games," a favorite celebrity, or today, social media.
