Video of a giant mako shark leaping out of the water off the San Diego coast last weekend is circling the internet Wednesday.
The video was captured during the Flying Mako fishing tournament, an annual catch and release event, according to GrindTV.com .

One of the men on the boat reportedly runs a salt water fly fishing operation and has grown attached to the mako.
He said he has a passion for protecting the fish and said seeing the giant mako shark leaping out of the water nine times was a special moment, according to the article.
The shark was reportedly estimated to be 10 feet long and between 500 and 800 pounds.
