VIDEO: Perseid meteor shower time-lapse

Take two cameras, aim them skyward and mix in some time-lapse technology and this is what you get: a unique view of the Perseid meteor shower.

CNN iReporter Wright Johnson captured Sunday night's show in the sky with the help of his wide angle lenses.

From his vantage point in Lagrange, Kentucky, Johnson was able to capture a night's sky full of white streaks.  

The Perseid meteor shower peaked Saturday, Sunday and Monday as Earth passed through a stream of debris from the Swift-Tuttle comet.

The brilliant sky was best seen far from the urban glare.

Johnson said he took a good nap Sunday, then got ready about dusk, scouting locations on his 4-wheeler.

He said his cameras did the work while he relaxed on his back, counting shooting stars.
