GARDEN GROVE, CA - A group of would-be jewel thieves picked the wrong store to rob.
Surveillance video shows five men storming into the jewelry store in Garden Grove, California on Sunday, pointing guns at customers and employees, according to a CNN report.
Before they got a chance to grab any of the jewelry, the 65-year-old owner opened fire, sending the suspects scrambling for the door.
The woman then took off after the robbers.
Moments later, video shows their SUV leaving, with three of the guys left behind until they were picked up a block away.
They all got away empty handed.
Police say that the next day two robbers tried the same thing at a store nearby and again the owner pulled out a gun.
This time one was hit in the head and they were both arrested.
Police aren't sure if the two incidents are related, but are cautioning store owners to take care when protecting their businesses.
