PHOENIX - You'd better watch your language, or it could cost you a promotion or even your job.

A new survey finds four-letter words could impact your professional image more than you think.

The CareerBuilder survey taken by more than 2,000 hiring managers and 3,800 workers nationwide sheds light on how employers and employees view cursing in the workplace.

Researchers found 57 percent are less likely to promote someone who swears. More than half claim it makes a worker seem less intelligent.

As for the cities using the most foul language: Washington D.C., Denver, and Chicago.

So we want to know, do you censor yourself in the workplace? How do you handle coworkers who swear like sailors while on the job?
