PHOENIX - As most Valley kids head back to school this month, there’s a significant group of students hitting the books from home.

A recent study found that homeschooling has jumped 75 percent since 1999, according to Parenting.com.

Right now, 4 percent of Americans home school their children.

Homeschooling only became legal in all 50 states in the early 90s.

We want to know: Why do you think more and more families are turning to homeschooling instead of a traditional public school education?

What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of teaching from home? If you could, would you home-school your child?
