NEW YORK - The medical struggles and the difficult recovery of notable people, including former Ariz. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, is portrayed in a new music video by Mandisa.
Gospel-singer Mandisa unveiled her latest music video for "Overcomer" on Good Morning America last week, which features the traumatic struggles, and successes, of GMA's Robin Roberts, who took leave to undergo a bone marrow transplant.
The music video flashes through footage of U.S. Figure Skating Champion Scott Hamilton as he was battling testicular cancer, as well as clips of Gabrielle Giffords' recovery following a deadly shooting at a public event in 2011.
Gifford's tweeted that she was "feeling inspired" while listening to the new song. She ended her tweet with, "We are all overcomers."
