Hope Solo admits to being drunk on TV after win at Beijing Olympics

Olympic soccer player Hope Solo is getting attention Friday after she reportedly admitted she was drunk during a TV interview the morning after winning the gold in Beijing with the women’s team in 2008.
Solo and the team partied after their win and then got into their stadium coats to appear on the TODAY show at 7 a.m. with no sleep, according to a Friday article.
The athlete, who is set for this summer’s London Olympics, reportedly told ESPN the Magazine they were drunk during the show. Watch the TV appearance in the below video:
