Most of us live and breathe technology.

Where would we be without our beloved computers and smart phones?

Well, according to one school in California's Silicon Valley , students do just fine without them.

The Waldorf School of the Peninsula is technology free, despite the fact that many of their students are the children of employees of high-tech companies including Apple, Google and Hewlett-Packard.

In an article in the New York Times, administrators say students at this private school learn through creative, hands-on tasks.

The ideas behind this: computers inhibit creative thinking, movement, human interaction and attention spans -- and, simply aren't needed in grammar school.

But, not everyone agrees.

The director of education technology for the National School Boards Association says schools that can afford computers, but don't use them, are cheating their children.

Where do you stand on this debate?

Are computers technology kids can do without; or do you feel they'd be left behind in the real world?
