MESQUITE, TX - A 12-year-old in Texas is being banned from Pee Wee football for being too big.

Elijah Earnheart is in middle school, is 6 feet tall and weighs in at around 300 pounds, according to an article on Yahoo! Sports .

The problem is, it's more than twice the maximum allowable Pee Wee weight of 135 pounds.

The seventh-grader was benched after a pre-season weigh-in deemed him ineligible.

His coach is reportedly protesting the decision to ban the pre-teen.

Pee Wee Football Association officials say there won't be any leniency granted for Elijah's weight.

What do you think? Should Elijah be allowed to play Pee Wee football or be kicked off the team for the protection of the other players?
