British soldier unaware of pregnancy has baby in Afghanistan

The birth of a baby came as a surprise to a British soldier in Afghanistan who did not know she was pregnant, according to a Thursday report.

Yahoo.com said the baby boy was born at the Camp Bastion field hospital and both the mother and the baby are in stable condition.

Servicewomen reportedly do not deploy if they are expecting, but the Ministry of Defense and the woman were unaware of the pregnancy.
