LOS ANGELES - Playboy magazine has released its Top 10 Party Schools list and Arizona State University made the cut.
The rankings are featured in Playboy’s October 2013 college issue.
West Virginia University took the top spot this year, with Arizona State University coming in at number 9.
It’s the first time West Virginia has taken top honors.
According to a Playboy company news release, the list was determined by Playboy’s editors using data from the National Center for Education Statistics, the NCAA, and the US Economic Census, as well as feedback from Playboy’s social media fans.
The magazine’s first list, Top 40 Party Colleges, appeared in its January 1987 issue with California State University-Chico taking the top spot.
Below are the schools that made this year’s list:

2. University of Wisconsin
3. University of Colorado
4. University of Southern California
5. Florida State University
6. University of Texas
7. Louisiana State University
8. University of Georgia
9. Arizona State University
10. University of Maryland
