MAUI, HI - An Arizona couple’s canoe ride off Maui turned into a trip they will never forget.

Laurent Lebihan, his girlfriend and a couple of friends paddled a few hundred yards offshore when suddenly a humpback whale came out of nowhere and bumped into their canoe.

Lebihan got it all on video, including their surprised reaction.

The canoers said the whale did not appear to be injured as it swam off.
