Amazon to hire thousands of seasonal employees in Phoenix-area for holidays

PHOENIX - Amazon is looking to fill thousands of positions in Phoenix-area fulfillment centers before the holiday season.
Company officials said in a press release they are looking to hire more than 50,000 seasonal employees nationwide, and added that thousands of these open positions are in Arizona.
While many of the jobs are only temporary, officials said they expect thousands of seasonal associates to stay on board with full-time positions after the holiday season.
Amazon's full-time employees receive comprehensive benefits that include medical and dental coverage, company-paid vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation time and access to a 401(k) plan.
