PHOENIX - The economy added only 80,000 jobs in June, the government said Friday, erasing any doubt that the United States is in a summer slump for the third year in a row, according to the Associated Press.

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is opening a new restaurant in Tempe and holding a hiring event next weekend. They're ready to hire 60 people for the new location at the corner of Rural Road and University Drive. The job fair will be held at the Marriott Courtyard, 601 S. Ash Avenue on Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The restaurant is scheduled to open on August 17.
Bashas' is hiring at locations all over the Valley. The openings include deli and bakery clerks, crew chiefs, cashiers and merchandise manager.
Nordstrom is hiring in Scottsdale, Phoenix and Chandler. They're looking for people for retail sales, sous chef, cashiers and customer service.
United Cerebral Palsy of Arizona needs to fill almost a dozen positions in the Phoenix area. The positions range from executive assistant, to human resources manager, early learning center teachers and physical therapist.
Located in Tempe, Celerion is hiring for several positions including registered nurse, call center supervisor, medical technologist and clinical research pharmacist.
Love trains? Union Pacific is looking for a train crew in the Valley.
