10 Valley companies hiring workers now

PHOENIX - The Associated Press is reporting that business has picked up, but many American companies are too nervous to step up hiring.

That and other factors helps explain why U.S. employers added just 69,000 jobs in May, the fewest in a year and the third straight month of weak job growth.

In spite of that news, hundreds of employers are looking for workers in the Valley and we found these 10 companies and more on Indeed.com , simplyhired.com and jobing.com :

1. If you love to drive, Valley-based Swift Transportation is looking for you. They're looking for experienced truck drivers and truck driver trainees.

2. The State of Arizona is hiring for dozens of jobs as teachers, legal secretaries, in mental health and human services, IT, drivers and many more.

3. Showcase Honda in Phoenix is looking to fill several positions this week. They're looking for people to work in sales, Internet sales, and as a finance manager.

4. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona has a few openings this week ranging from Enrollment Specialist to Finance and Accounting Assistant.

5. Love your pets? Petsmart is hiring for dozens of positions this week from merchandising, to information security engineer, pet safety specialist, mail room, direct marketing manager, buyers, retail managers, corporate paralegal and much more.

6. Culver's restaurants are looking to fill positions Valleywide. They're looking for crew members, managers, porters and team members.
