PHOENIX - Kids need so many things for college; from bedding, to shelving, to microwaves, and the list goes on.
I found huge savings to keep their dorm room and your wallet full.
Whether they stay on campus or off, a comforter set is a must.
I looked at 8-piece bed-in-a-bag sets, which includes a comforter, sheet set, pillow cases, shams and a bed skirt. I searched the stores for their cheapest price on these items.
I found the highest price at Bed Bath and Beyond.
The regular price for the 8-piece set is $79.99.
Anna’s Linens is almost half that price.
Their cheapest set for a twin and full is $39.99.
That same set will cost you $10 more for a queen or king.
Wal-Mart is even cheaper.
You'll find an 8-piece set for any size for $39.88.
But we found the best price at Big Lots.
They had an 8-piece bed in a bag set for just $29.99.
Big Lots also had a 16-piece dorm kit that includes a bed in a bag comforter set, a hamper, wash cloths and towels, even a desk lamp and picture frame for just $39.99.
So you get all of that and you're still paying half of what you'd pay at Bed Bath and Beyond.
I did find stores with a lot of deals, especially at Anna's Linens. Everything from $15 comforters to $10 sheet sets.
So check the sales before you pull out your wallet.
