Smart Shopper: BEST buys in February

You can find some great deals; you just need to know when it's the right time to buy. In February you can find some deals on certain items.

Didn't get the mp3 player you wanted for Christmas? No worries, February is a great time to find deals on small electronics like mp3 players or digital cameras. Demand is high during the holiday season but slows down afterwards and that means bargains are to be found.

Buy a new bike in February and save. Most parts of the country are freezing but not in the Valley. A lot of bike shops need to make room for the spring season so grab a 2010 or 2011 model for cheap.

Planning on traveling? February is a good time to find deals on luggage sets. This time is not the busiest season for traveling, so that means you can scoop up some deals. Do it soon because once summer hits you will be out of luck.

Video games are another hot product to buy in February. They were in high demand over the holiday season so less supply more demand means higher prices. The holiday season is over so the demand is not as much which means better pricing on those games.

Remember to buy items that are off season in order to find the best deals. For example, if you're thinking about buying some jewelry for Valentine’s Day, know you will be paying more if you bought it during off season.
