Let's kick off the weekend by leaving our wallets at home for some free stuff!
Go to a concert for free while helping the homeless. The Free World Homeless Day concert is Saturday, October 13 from noon until 4:30 p.m. outside at the Tempe Community Complex, near Rural and Southern Avenue. The free concert will have performances from Teneia Sanders, AJ Odneal, Traveler, Chuck Hall and Walt Richardson. This concert is free, but it is to help folks who need help so donations are needed. They encourage folks to bring items like unopened packages of socks, underwear, t-shirts, sunscreen, razors, deodorant and bottled water. Plus, bring a blanket and some food for yourself and friends to enjoy at the free concert.
